With VoLTE calls you can receive and make calls, as well as send SMS, over the 4G (LTE) or 5G network, at no extra cost. The advantages include:

•More quality: better quality calls. VoLTE offers superior call quality because it uses more bandwidth for voice calls, resulting in clearer, sharper sound.
•Data and voice at the same time: browsing the internet with no loss of speed, and calls at the same time.
•Better coverage: better coverage in areas where the 2G mobile network signal is weak.
•No extra cost: better quality calls, at the price of the plan you have signed up for.

To make emergency calls to short numbers, such as 112, even with the VoWIFI service turned on, you need mobile network coverage for the call to be possible.

VoLTE and VoWIFI are compatible with basic services such as: missed call alerts, caller ID, call forwarding and call barring.

For now, you can only use these features in Portuguese territory.

Yes, you can use any WIFI network, whether it is DIGI's or another operator's, although some public networks may have restrictions on certain features. Remember that the quality of the VoWIFI call will always depend on the bandwidth available on the network.

Yes, VoLTE and VoWIFI are compatible with all DIGI plans. You can make calls, send SMS or browse the internet just as you did before.

VoLTE and VoWIFI calls are completely free. Enjoy better quality calls at the price of the plan you have signed up for. You can check your usage at any time on your invoice or in the My DIGI customer area.

On some phones, VoLTE may be turned on by default. If it is not, you can see how to turn on VoLTE calls here.
If you want to turn this feature off, just follow the same steps we describe and disable the VoLTE option.

•VoLTE: if you have VoLTE calls turned on, when you make a call the LTE/4G icon will be visible in the top right-hand corner of the notification bar. On some models the VoLTE or HD icon may also appear.
•VoWIFI: if you have VoWIFI calls turned on, when you make a call the WIFI icon will be visible in the top right-hand corner of the notification bar. You can check whether you have this feature active by putting the phone in “flight mode” and trying to make a call. If you succeed, that means you have VoWIFI calls turned on.

To use VoLTE and VoWIFI, you need to:

•Have a device compatible with these features.
•Have the device updated to the latest software version available.
•Turn on VoLTE and VoWIFI calls on the device.

With VoWIFI calls you can make and receive calls, as well as send SMS, over a WIFI connection in places with poor mobile coverage. The advantages include:

•More quality: better quality calls, as long as there is a good WIFI connection (stable and secure).
•More coverage: VoWIFI lets you make calls in places where the mobile network signal is weak or non-existent, using any available WIFI network.
•No extra cost: better quality calls, at the price of the plan you have signed up for.

VoWIFI calls are just as secure as those made over the mobile network, since they are encrypted in the same way.
